A colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine was found shot dead in his office in Kyiv.

The circumstances of the officer’s death are being investigated in the framework of criminal proceedings investigated by investigators of the National Police of Ukraine. The special service assists the police as much as possible for a full, objective and impartial investigation. This was reported on August 28 by the Ukrayinska Pravda and RBC-Ukraine publications, citing law enforcement sources.
The SBU expressed sincere condolences to the families and friends of the deceased colonel.
Recall that in the village of Golikovo near Moscow, the former deputy head of the main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the fight against extremism (Center “E”), Major General Vladimir Makarov, was found dead.
