The high-profile week is the culmination of the UN General Assembly session, which opens in September. It was attended by high representatives of UN member states – presidents, heads of government and foreign ministers.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in a speech before the UN General Assembly in New York in September, will talk about the “peace formula”, a special tribunal and compensation to compensate the losses from the war. This was announced on Monday, August 28, in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President Igor Zhovkva.
“The president will speak at the UN General Assembly, where he will speak about the “peace formula”, and about the creation of a special tribunal, and about a compensatory mechanism for the payment of losses,” he said.
Zhovkva added that Zelensky is scheduled to have several bilateral meetings during the General Assembly, with countries of the Global South, including from other continents.
“We will make the most of this opportunity to visit New York, which, we are sure, will bring significant results,” added the deputy head of the OPU.
