The UAV was approved by the Ministry of Defense for operation in April 2023. And the admission to operation in the army took one month thanks to an accelerated procedure. On August 28, the Ministry of Defense announced this on social networks.
The drone is lifted into the atmosphere by eight powerful motors, the drone can transport loads weighing up to 31.5 kg. “Big Banderik” has a multifunctional reset system, and remote control from anywhere in the world is provided by a universal ground station.
The defense department added that the octocopter during the electronic warfare tests showed excellent results: it functioned successfully, despite the snow, heavy wind and the work of all the electronic warfare equipment located at the range.
Recall that in August it became known that more than 270 Vampire shock drones were sent to the front from the Army of Drones. These are Ukrainian-made quadcopters that can carry up to 15 kg of payload.
