The above power lines were turned off in several regions of Ukraine. And due to damage on the territory of Moldova, thousands of consumers in the Vinnitsa region remained without electricity. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy on Monday, August 28.
It is indicated that overhead lines of Ukrenergo were turned off several times over the weekend. Due to damage, a 330 kV overhead line in the Sumy region, reserved, was taken out for repair. The 330 kV and 400 kV lines were turned off in the Lvov and Transcarpathian regions.
Due to damage on the territory of Moldova, the 110 kV interstate overhead line in the Vinnitsa region was temporarily shut down. As a result, more than 11 thousand consumers in the Mogilev-Podolsk region were cut off.
Due to Russia’s new shelling in the Donetsk region, a gas pipeline was damaged, affecting power generation.
In the Chernihiv region, 10 settlements were de-energized due to enemy shelling. In the Kharkiv region, a gas pipeline was damaged by shelling, as a result, gas supply to some subscribers was stopped. Restoration work is happening there.
Due to the previous shelling, a part of consumers in Zaporozhye, Sumy, Kherson, Kharkiv regions were de-energized. Repair personnel work where the security situation allows.
Also, the Ministry of Energy reminds that a large-scale repair campaign is underway in Ukraine at generation facilities – thermal, hydro and nuclear.
Remember that energy consumption in Ukraine is at its highest level in the summer. The country has been drawing emergency aid from the power grids of Romania and Poland for three days in a row.
Earlier, Ukraine recorded a new record of electricity consumption for the weekend. Protective action cut high voltage lines in Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Chernihiv regions.
