The last obstacle to the start of training of the Ukrainians on F-16 fighters is obtaining the necessary permits.
To start training Ukrainian pilots with American F-16 fighters in Romania, it remains to obtain the necessary permits. This is what Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Colacu said in an interview with the Financial Times.
In his opinion, it will only take a few days. All logistics are ready, the prime minister added.
“I expect that the protocols (for the pilots – ed.) will be signed in the next few days, which is the last hurdle. From a logistical point of view, everything is fine,” said Colaku.
Recall that the three countries agreed to provide Ukraine with F-16s. At the same time, as Andriy Yermak, head of the President’s Office, said in an interview for DW, the aviation coalition now includes 14 countries and “their number is increasing almost weekly.”
