The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the plane crash in the Zhytomyr region and the death of the Ukrainian pilots. This was stated in the video message of the head of state, which he posted on his Facebook page on Saturday, August 26.
“Yesterday, a disaster occurred in the sky in the Zhytomyr region. Three pilots died. Among them, Andrei Pilshchikov, call sign – Dzhus. An officer of Ukraine, one of those who helped our state a lot. Too much! My condolences to the family and friends, to everyone who knew the men “, – emphasized the Ukrainian leader.
According to him, the investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
“It is too early to discuss the details. Of course, all events will be clarified. Of course, Ukraine will not forget all those who defended the free skies of Ukraine,” concluded Zelensky.
It will be remembered that two L-39 combat training aircraft collided in the Zhytomyr region on Friday, August 25. The famous pilot Andrei Pilshchikov (Juice) died in a plane crash.
