This was announced on August 26 by Metinvest.
The idea is that the Russians should spend precision-guided projectiles and Lancets on these “dummy” missiles, mistaking them for real military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is reported that engineering structures completely repeat the appearance of radar stations and artillery guns and have been the target of strikes more than once.
Such mock-ups made of metal and plywood mislead the Russians and force them to use expensive precision-guided munitions to destroy decoys. The real equipment of the defenders of Ukraine remains unharmed, and the fighters do not endanger themselves, says a Metinvest press release.
