Norway has decided to give its F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. This was reported by local television channel TV2 on Thursday, August 24.
Norway has become the third NATO country after the Netherlands and Denmark to supply Ukraine with F-16 combat aircraft.
The possible number of aircraft transferred to Ukraine is not specified, but it is known that in total Norway has 57 such fighters. At the beginning of 2022, they were taken out of service.
It can be recalled that the Netherlands recently announced that they will provide Ukraine with 42 F-16 fighter jets. In turn, Denmark will provide 19 aircraft, six of them – by the end of this year.
Earlier, the United States officially approved the transfer of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine from Denmark and the Netherlands.
