The White House says President Joe Biden has been notified of the plane crash in Russia, which allegedly killed Wagner PMC head Yevgeny Prigozhin, Sky news reports.
Later, Biden, when asked about the plane crash in the Tver region, said that he “didn’t know exactly what happened, but he wasn’t surprised.”
Biden suggested that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin may have been behind the downing of the plane in the Tver region.
“You may remember I was asked this,” Biden said, referring to comments he made in July.
He then said that Prigozhin should worry about his safety after the failed rebellion.
“I said I would be careful with my car. I don’t know exactly what happened, but I’m not surprised,” Biden added.
We remind, earlier it became known that Prigozhin’s plane crashed in the Tver region of Russia. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, there were 10 people on board the Embraer: seven passengers and three crew members. PMC leader Wagner was also listed among the passengers.
State television channel Rossiya 24 reported that Prigozhin had died.
