The country announced additional sanctions against four individuals and 29 entities from the Russian military, industrial, financial and nuclear sectors.
Canada has imposed additional sanctions against individuals and companies responsible for aggression against Ukraine. This was announced by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, speaking at the Third International Summit of the Crimean Platform, reports Ukrinform.
“Today, Canada is announcing additional sanctions against four individuals and 29 entities from Russia’s military, industrial, financial and nuclear sectors,” he said.
Trudeau emphasized that the goal of these sanctions is to force Russia to withdraw from all of Ukraine, including Crimea.
“Canada will continue to support Ukraine as long as necessary,” the Prime Minister said.
The Canadian government has not yet published the new sanctions, so it is not known who they apply to.
As you know, Kiev is hosting the Third International Summit of the Crimean Platform, which focuses on Ukraine’s view of the future of the temporarily occupied Crimea and security in the Black Sea region.
Recall that on August 18, Canada introduced a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, especially those related to Russian ships.
