Almost 400 people have been identified under the scheme where there are doubts about the legality of their receipt of orders of unfitness for military service.
Law enforcement officers are conducting more than 200 searches in all regions of Ukraine as part of an investigation into corruption schemes for draft evasion. This was announced by the National Police on Tuesday, August 22.
It is indicated that investigative actions are ongoing at the territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCC), military medical (VLK) and medical and social expert commissions (MSEC).
“As part of the mining, large corruption schemes were discovered, in the organization of which officials of these institutions in all regions of the country were involved. Law enforcement officials began criminal proceedings against all exposed that fact,” the report said.
It was established that, for a fee, the defendants in the case assisted citizens in registering a group with disabilities or recognition as temporarily unfit for service. Such actions made it possible to delay or prevent enrollment.
In this regard, the State Bureau of Investigation clarified that 388 people have been identified, where there are doubts about the legality of their acceptance of decisions of the All-Union Leninist Committee on unsuitability for military service.
Criminal proceedings are initiated under several articles, including for excessive power or official authority of a military officer, made under martial law (part 5 of article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Law enforcement officials promise to publish information about the results of investigations and procedural decisions made later.
It will be remembered that a week ago, all the regional military commissars were fired. This decision was made by President Volodymyr Zelensky due to a number of high-profile scandals in the leadership of military registration and enlistment offices.
