The head of the Russian private military company Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, recorded a video from Africa and announced the “struggle for the freedom of the continent.” The corresponding video was distributed by Russian Telegram channels on Monday, August 21.
“We are working, the temperature is +50, everything is as we want. PMC Wagner is conducting intelligence and search activities, making Russia more glorious, and Africa more free. Justice and happiness for those African people, we are a nightmare for ISIS, Al-Qaeda and other gangs,” Prigogine said.
The leader of the “Wagnerites” called on volunteers to join the ranks of the PMCs to “defend the freedom of Africa.”
