“The air defense forces shot down a drone while trying to fly to Moscow. There were no injuries or casualties,” he said.
The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the “second Ukrainian drone attack” on the territory of the Moscow region.
The air defense force allegedly destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle in the territory of the Istra region.
The Federal Air Transport Agency noted that due to the threat of UAVs, flight restrictions were introduced at Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Zhukovsky airports. At 9:00 they all work regularly.
45 passenger flights and two cargo flights were redirected to alternative airports. According to Russian media, in total, more than 90 flights were delayed or canceled at Moscow airports.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the “downing of a drone” in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region.
