In January 2022, before the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, about 1,000 people lived in the village.
A family consisting of a man, a woman and their adult child was evacuated from the Urozhainy Volnovakha district of the Donetsk region. On Wednesday, August 16, the head of the military administration of the village of Velikonovoselkovskaya, Sergei Yashchenko, told Suspilny.
According to him, a school, houses and a medical center were destroyed in Urozhayne. There are no surviving buildings in the village.
Yashchenko noted that as of January 2022, about 1,000 people live in the village. After the occupation, 500 people remained there, but when active hostilities began, people began to leave.
The official noted that it is not yet possible for Urozhaynoye residents to file documents for compensation for damaged property, as the settlement is located in a war zone.
“Today the access to the village is closed,” Sergei Yashchenko specified.
Note that the village is located south of Velika Novoselka towards occupied Volnovakha and Mariupol.
