The purpose of the event is to unite Ukrainian and foreign manufacturers for the long-term and systematic strengthening of Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov and Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin invited Ukraine’s partners to the Defense Industries Forum. This was reported on August 16 by the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
The purpose of the forum is to unite Ukrainian and foreign manufacturers for the long-term and systematic strengthening of Ukraine’s defense capabilities, the exchange of technologies, the establishment of joint production, the systematic maintenance and repair of equipment, the strengthening of the defense potential of both Ukraine and partners based on NATO technologies and weapons.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Strategic Industry work together to develop Ukraine’s self-defense. This goal requires not only supply, but also creation, development and production of modern weapons – right here in Ukraine. We are also talking about the repair, completion and modernization of Western weapons,” the Foreign Ministry insisted.
The First Defense Industries Forum will be a platform where the world’s largest arms manufacturers, together with the military-political leadership of Ukraine and partner countries, will work together to develop new alliances and strategies to support international security and launch joint projects.
