The development of maritime surface drones is carried out by the SBU without the participation of private companies. The security service is assisted by civil engineers and IT specialists, and the production of drones is located underground on the territory of Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasily Malyuk, reports the special service.
Our drones are manufactured at one of the underground production facilities in Ukraine. Today, in the process of development and implementation, we have a lot of different interesting operations, in particular, in the Black Sea. I promise you it will be a surprise, especially to our enemies,” he said.
The head of the security service noted that the marine drones that damaged the Crimean bridge in July were named SeaBaby (Sea Baby). These drones are equipped with a warhead of 850 kg. And the kids who damaged the Olenegorsky Gornyak large landing ship and the SIG tanker each had 450 kg of warhead.
According to Malyuk, all SBU special operations are legal, and Western partners do not participate in their conduct.
