On the night of August 16, the occupiers sent “Shaheds” to the port and grain infrastructure in the south of the region. Hits were recorded in one of the ports of the Danube. Warehouses and granaries were damaged there. The fires that broke out have already been extinguished. On August 16, the head of the Odesa OVA Oleg Kiper announced this in Telegram.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that last night launches of Shahed-136/131 UAVs were carried out in several waves from the southeast direction – Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Chauda. The main goal was the port infrastructure of the Odessa region. Ukrainian defenders managed to destroy 13 enemy UAVs within the Odessa and Nikolaev regions. Part of the enemy drones failed to shoot down.
Recall that the Air Force showed how on August 14 they repelled the attack of drones and missiles in the Odessa region. The Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system and the German Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft artillery mount worked on enemy air targets.
