The death toll from an explosion at a gas station in Makhachkala, Dagestan, has risen to 35. It was reported on August 15 by the Russian media in connection with the doctors. This figure was officially confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
After the explosion, 62 people, including 16 children, remain in the city’s hospitals. The condition of 11 victims, including two children, is estimated to be serious. Another 18 victims received outpatient care.

According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, on the night of August 14, an explosion occurred at a car service station at the exit from Makhachkala during work, then the fire spread to the gas station.
Two of the eight fuel tanks exploded at a gas station. The area of the fire is 600 square meters, it was extinguished in four hours. The explosion damaged several buildings in the area, shattered windows in neighboring houses and damaged several vehicles. 27 dead and 75 injured were reported.
