The Ukrainian Defense Forces are coping with their tasks at this stage of a full-scale war against Russia, and all statements about the “slow progress” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces demonstrate an absolute misunderstanding of the war by commentators. Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, wrote about this on Twitter on August 14.
Any statements that Ukraine is not moving fast enough on the battlefield or returning few territories is not only a manifestation of the strange moral position of the authors, but also a demonstration of an absolute misunderstanding of the war and its stages, the report says.
According to him, the task of the Ukrainian army is not to organize large-scale battles for every settlement on the way to the 1991 borders. The Armed Forces of Ukraine systematically destroy the logistical and technical potential of the occupying army, officers and personnel. And with these tasks, the defenders cope 100 percent.
Recall, the American edition of The New York Times reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced approximately 16-19 km along two main directions of attack in order to reach the Sea of Azov and interrupt communication between Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimea.
