The chancellor called a meeting with Saudi Arabia on the situation in Ukraine last weekend “very important.”
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is in favor of continuing international negotiations on ways to stop Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, he said in an interview with the ZDF channel.
The chancellor called the meeting in Saudi Arabia last weekend “very important”.
Unfortunately, he says, this is “really just the beginning.”
However, negotiations at the level of foreign policy advisers are something special. According to the chancellor, more countries have taken part in them, including China.
“Therefore, it makes sense to continue these negotiations, because they certainly increase the pressure on Russia so that it understands that it is on the wrong track and must withdraw its troops, and then peace will be possible,” said Scholz.
It will be remembered that the Office of the President believes that the summit in Saudi Arabia will lay the foundations for a new global political architecture, where there will be no “aggressive subjectivity of the Russian Federation.”
