The Hürriyet publication was convinced that the Turkish side did this for the sake of continuing the grain agreement.
Türkiye expressed the need to involve the Russians in the negotiations with Ukraine. Because without the participation of the Russians in the negotiation process, allegedly, “there will be no result.” This was reported on Friday, August 11, by the Turkish edition of Hürriyet, citing Akif Çağatay Kılıç, the Turkish representative in the Ukraine talks with Saudi Arabia.
The Turkish diplomat said that “if the Russian Federation is not involved in the search for a solution, there will be no result, no solution.”
Turkey allegedly showed in this way that it is ready to take steps towards the Russian Federation on the issue of continuing the work of the grain agreement, media reports.
However, German representatives said that at the moment it is not right to include the Russian Federation in the negotiation process on this issue and that “the Russian Federation will enter at the right time” – after the cessation of its attacks.
According to the publication, the third meeting of the Saudi Arabian initiative in Ukraine should be held in October and it is possible that it will be held in Turkey.
The previous two meetings to find ways to end the war in Ukraine were also held without representatives of the Russian Federation.
As you know, on August 5-6, in the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, a meeting of advisers to the heads of states on the Peace Formula was held with the participation of 42 countries, including the United States, China, India. and Brazil. Russia was not invited to the summit.
Moscow was offended by this and declared that “without the participation of Russia and taking into account its interests, no meetings on the Ukrainian crisis have the slightest additional value.”
