In Russian Kaluga on Friday, August 11, a fire broke out in an electrical substation located in the village of Rosva. The residences attached to it were left without electricity. This was announced by Governor Vladislav Shapsha on Telegram.
“This morning in Kaluga there was an outbreak at an electrical substation in the village of Rosva. Fire brigades and emergency services are working in the area,” he said.
According to the governor, no one was killed. Communities connected to the substation were left without electricity.
Shapsha later said that the fire at the substation had been put out. “Two transformers lost their action. The initial cause of the fire was a lightning strike,” he said.
Recall that on June 5 in the Altai Territory of the Russian Federation there was a major fire at an electrical substation, which left the entire district without power supply.
