Andriy Kovalyov, a representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdyansk directions.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to conduct offensive operations to the south of the city of Bakhmut, and consolidate on the achieved lines.
The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Novokalinovoye, Avdeevka, Severny, Maryinka, Novomikhailovka and Staromayorsky. The enemy suffers significant losses in personnel, weapons and equipment, the speaker said.
Against the background of successful military operations of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the number of losses in the units of the Russian occupation forces has significantly increased. In particular, the number of wounded and dead servicemen of the Russian occupation troops in the Svatovsko-Kremensk direction has sharply increased.
In the period from August 1 to August 7, about 500 occupiers with fire wounds of varying severity were sent from the above direction to the Belgorod hospital. At the same time, in order to conceal the real number of their losses at the front, the dead Russian invaders are sent to Rostov-on-Don.
