This was announced on July 4 by Prime Minister Denis Shmihal at a government meeting.
Last year we launched the Yeselya program. They gave the opportunity to the military, law enforcement officers, teachers, doctors and scientists to receive a mortgage at 3%. Now such preferential mortgage loans have already been issued in the amount of more than UAH 1.2 billion. Now let’s expand the program. We are making changes, thanks to which other Ukrainians who do not have their own housing will be able to participate in the Yeselya program. They will have a preferential annual rate of 7% in hryvnia. The first installment is from 20%, and the loan term is up to 20 years,” Shmihal said.
Starting in August, the following will be able to apply for the program:
-
war veterans and members of their families; combatants, persons with disabilities as a result of the war, the families of the dead (deceased) war veterans, as well as the families of the fallen (deceased) defenders and defenders of Ukraine;
-
internally displaced persons;
-
other citizens of Ukraine who do not have their own residential real estate or who own less than 52.5 sq. meters for a family of one person (single person) and an additional 21 sq. meter – for each next family member.
For these categories of citizens, the following conditions will apply:
-
fixed annual rate in hryvnia – 7%;
-
first installment – from 20%;
-
loan term – up to 20 years;
-
You can buy an apartment in a house under construction or not older than three years at the time of the conclusion of the contract.
Accreditation of developers by banks in the program will be available only to those developers who have chosen transparent construction financing mechanisms.
The program remains available under 3% of the annual categories of military and security officials, doctors, teachers and scientists.
