In Vilnius, NATO members will decide to strengthen support for Ukraine in the long term and bring it closer to the Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg assured.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg had “very good” talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the eve of the Vilnius summit. He wrote this on Twitter on Tuesday, July 4.
“A very good conversation with President Zelensky about the latest developments in Ukraine and our preparations for the NATO summit,” said Stoltenberg, whose term was extended for another year today.
He assured that in Vilnius, NATO members will decide to increase support for the long term, renew political relations and bring Ukraine closer to the Alliance.
As you know, the NATO summit will be held in Vilnius on July 11-12. At the same time, the Office of the President has not yet made a decision on Zelensky’s trip to the event.
As you know, the president asked for an algorithm for Ukraine’s entry into NATO, and also named the conditions for his trip to Vilnius.
