The Ukrainian military continues to advance in the Tauride direction. The greatest success was achieved in the direction of Berdyansk. This was announced by the spokesperson of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tauride direction, Captain Valery Shershen on Tuesday, July 4.
“In the direction of Tauride, the Defense Forces systematically knocked the enemy out of their positions and continued to advance. Thus, in the direction of Berdyansk, the greatest advance in the depth of the enemy up to 2 kilometers was recorded,” he said.
According to him, now the defense forces are fixed in the occupied lines.
“We are conducting aerial reconnaissance of the area, inflicting artillery damage on identified enemy targets, conducting counter-battery combat, conducting mine clearance,” he said.
At the same time, the enemy is putting up “fierce resistance,” but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are systematically putting pressure on some sectors of the front, pushing the enemy back.
In the past day, the Russians lost 72 people and wounded 166. Also yesterday, 36 pieces of equipment were destroyed: two tanks, nine armored combat vehicles, two D-30 guns, four BM-21 Grad units, three Supercam UAVs, a Lancet UAV, an Orlan-10 UAV, two 2A36 Giatsint- B gun, a 2S5 Giatsint-S, Pantsir-S air defense system, two Tor air defense systems, two 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery mounts, an electronic warfare station and automotive equipment.
Two ammunition depots and a command post were also destroyed.
Recall that in the past week, the Armed Forces of Ukraine increased the area of liberated territories in the east and south. It was also learned about the successes of the Ukrainian army in the direction of Bakhmut.
