The signing of the relevant agreements may take place before the NATO summit. However, Ukraine’s main goal remains to join the Alliance after the war.
Four countries are close to concluding an agreement to ensure Ukraine’s security before joining NATO. This was announced on Saturday, July 1, by the German edition of FAZ.
It was noted that the corresponding agreement could be signed at the NATO summit on July 11-12 in Vilnius. In addition, each country will sign a separate document with Ukraine.
The agreement includes, in particular, the supply of weapons, financial assistance and training. We are not talking about the direct participation of the troops of the countries in the defense of Ukraine.
However, for Ukraine, the main goal remains joining NATO after the war.
Earlier, Germany reported that Berlin and its G7 partners and the European Union are working on long-term security guarantees for Kyiv.
