“The security service collected an evidence base on the Russian propagandist Sergei Klyuchenkov (better known under the pseudonym Sergei Mardan), who called for the genocide of the Ukrainian people. The defendant is one of the main bloggers of the pro -Kremlin publication Komsomolskaya Pravda, and also actively participates in a talk show with another Kremlin spokesman From the very beginning of Russia’s massive invasion, Mardan openly supported the war of aggression against Ukraine and justified the crimes in the war of the Russian invaders,” the Soloviev live TV channel said.
It is documented that the propagandist continues to campaign for mass repression against the civilian population of Ukraine.
“In one of the live broadcasts, he proposed the creation of concentration camps for residents of the temporarily occupied Ukraine who oppose the racists. The SBU-initiated linguistic and linguistic examinations confirmed the facts of criminal activities of Mardan,” the SBU reported.
Mardan was charged with suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: public calls for a violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or usurpation of state power, as well as distribution of materials calling for such actions; justification, recognition as lawful, rejection of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which began in 2014, as well as the production and distribution of such materials using the media; public call for genocide, as well as the production of materials containing calls for genocide with the intention of distributing them or distributing such materials.
“Since the person involved is hiding from justice in Russia, comprehensive measures are being taken to bring him to justice for crimes against our state. The attacker faces up to 8 years in prison,” wrote the press service of SBU.
