In the Lviv region, a military man who committed a fatal accident during the movement of a military convoy will be judged.

In September 2022, five people died near the town of Brody, including a seven-year-old boy.
The State Bureau of Investigation said on June 30 that the investigators had established that the serviceman ignored the red traffic light and ran into a car.
The crash killed four adults and one child. In addition, two minors received injuries: severe and moderate. Another passenger received moderate injuries.
This accident occurred on the Kyiv-Chop highway on September 15 at about 20:00. A video released by the Patrol Police shows a white car colliding with a military vehicle, which overturned on impact.
The driver of the military vehicle was not injured. He is accused of violating the rules of driving or operating a military, special or transport vehicle, which caused the victim bodily injury or death of the victim (part 2 of article 415 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for punishment – up to 10 years in prison.
The investigators also established that the head of the service of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Service improperly organized the movement of military equipment.
He did not ensure the coordination of the actions of the patrol police along the route of the movement of equipment with the convoy, and also did not control the actions of the drivers of the convoy itself during such a march, the report says.
The official is suspected of negligent attitude towards military service, committed under martial law (part 4 of article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to eight years.
