Now British lawyers cannot advise Russian companies on certain business agreements. This move aims to cut off Moscow economically.

The UK government bans Kremlin-linked individuals and companies from accessing British legal expertise. Sky News reported this.

It is noted that now British lawyers are not able to advise Russian companies on some business agreements. This move aims to cut off Moscow economically.

British officials said the sanctions could affect Russia’s ability to get legal advice on everything from trade deals between global corporations to international loans.

The Ministry of Justice, which announced the move, said Russia relies heavily on Western countries for legal expertise.

In the past, the UK annually exported legal services to Russian businesses to the tune of around 56 million pounds.

Recall that last week the EU agreed on the 11th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation. The package includes measures aimed at countering sanctions evasion.

Britain plans to maintain sanctions against Russia until reparations are paid to Ukraine
