At the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius on July 11-12, Ukraine wants to get a political decision to support the country’s entry into NATO.
Ukraine will receive a “powerful support package”. It will be announced at the NATO summit, which will be held in Vilnius on July 11-12. This was announced on Wednesday, June 28, by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
He noted that the new support package will include both political and practical aspects of aid.
“First, you will see at the NATO summit a very strong package for Ukraine, politically and practically,” he said.
Blinken did not reveal the details of the new aid package, but expressed confidence that it will affect the defense and offense up front.
“A number of states are looking at … what we can do about … what should help Ukraine develop its long-term deterrence and defense capabilities,” Blinken added.
Remember, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said that Ukraine will receive two launch systems for the NASAMS anti-aircraft missile system from Lithuania.
Earlier, the British government’s website announced a “historic” aid package to Ukraine, which included a World Bank loan guarantee for $3 billion to boost the country’s economic stability.
