As of November 2022, 15 countries have recognized the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. Since then, 12 more have joined.
The Croatian Parliament recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people, adopting a corresponding declaration. About that know President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
He thanked Croatia for this decision.
“I am grateful to Croatia for this historic vote. The world will never accept the crimes of the Kremlin – either past or present,” the president said.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba also expressed gratitude to the Croatian Parliament for the historic decision and honoring the victims of the Holodomor.
