Decree No. 357/2023 has already been published on the website of the Office of the President.
The day before, Ukroboronprom admitted problems with the implementation of the missile program. They noted that, by decision of General Director Gusev, the concern’s security units conducted an audit in March-April to establish the reasons for the non-fulfillment of certain measures of the missile program. The results were sent to the Ministry for Strategic Industries and the Department of Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine “for taking appropriate measures.”
In addition, today the Cabinet of Ministers approved Herman Smetanin, head of the Malyshev Plant in Kharkiv, as the new head of the Ukroboronprom state concern. This decision will come into effect on June 28. Zelensky set three main tasks for Smetanin: to increase the production of all weapons, to cleanse the industry of corruption, and to complete the defense reform.
