The NATO summit in Madrid will be extremely important, and the new concept will present a new security reality, says Francesco Talo.
Russia will not be listed as a NATO partner in its new strategic concept. This was stated by the Italian Ambassador to the Alliance, Francesco Talo, in an interview with the Italian agency ANSA.

According to him, the summit in Madrid on June 29-30 will be extremely important, and the new concept will reflect a new reality of security.
“We will correct the status of Russia, which was considered a partner in the previous document, we will put China, which has not yet been,” Talo said.
NATO also needs to face new challenges – in the field of cyber and hybrid security, as well as climate change.
Africa will be another key aspect. A billion people live suffering from poverty and hunger, terrorism and instability.
“And even there, Russia is increasingly there,” Francesco Talo stressed.
Earlier the media reported that NATO allies would highlight Russia’s behavior as a direct threat in an upcoming strategic document. They will also consider how best to support neighboring countries that are vulnerable to aggression.
Ukraine will take part in the development of the NATO Strategic Concept
