Prigozhin will no longer live in Russia. He will have to change his residence, the Kremlin said.
The criminal case against the head of PMC Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin will be closed, he will “leave for Belarus,” said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov. About this on Saturday, June 24, writes TASS.
Peskov said he did not know who Prigozhin would do in Belarus.
Dmitry Peskov also promised that the Kremlin would pardon the Wagner terrorists who participated in the uprising against the Russian regime.
He added that the Kremlin “highly appreciates that Lukashenka was able to persuade Prigozhin to stop” and stressed that Lukashenka offered himself as a negotiator, as he had known Prigozhin for more than 20 years.
Peskov added that the Russian authorities will not prosecute the “Wagnerites” who took part in the rebellion, because of their “front merits.” And part of the PMC fighters, who initially refused to participate in Prigozhin’s “campaign”, will sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense.
According to the press secretary, the new televised address of Vladimir Putin is not planned.
Lukashenko said that Putin thanked him for the successful negotiations with the head of PMC Wagner.
In the morning, Vladimir Putin, in response to PMC Wagner’s rebellion, announced “treason” and ordered the armed forces of the Russian Federation to stop Prigozhin’s rebellion.
