The “Wagnerites” are now “trying to organize a rebellion” in Russia and the Russian Federation, claiming to be “protecting themselves from internal betrayal.” In this regard, the Russian army received an order to neutralize the “organized rebellion.” This is what Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin said in a special speech to Russians on Saturday, June 24.
The head of the ruling Russian regime believes that the Russian Federation is “trying to push the Russian Federation to defeat and surrender through a rebellion.” Therefore, he promised that the measures against the rebels “will be tough.”
“All those who deliberately entered the path of treason are subject to inevitable punishment,” Putin said.
He added that the Russian armed forces had already received orders to “neutralize those who organized the armed rebellion.”
However, the Russian leader called Wagner PMC militants participating in the war against Ukraine “heroes”.
Putin added that the organizers of the rebellion allegedly betrayed the “name and glory” of the occupying mercenaries.
Ukrainian war correspondent Andrei Tsaplienko posted a video message from the Kremlin leader on his Telegram channel.
Recall that on the evening of Saturday, June 24, Prigozhin published a new voice message in which he said that his fighters had crossed the state border of the Russian Federation “in all places” and were about to enter Rostov.
