The Ukrainian leader called on the Organization of American States to join the implementation of the peace initiative proposed by Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky invited the Organization of American States to work on the implementation of the Peace Formula and take part in the preparations for the Global Peace Summit. The head of state announced this on June 22.
“Russia has brought war to the territory of our country, Russian missiles and artillery are burning our cities and villages, Russian ecocides are destroying the nature of our country… Therefore, the Ukrainians better understand what exactly needs to be done. to restore peace. But to restore peace, we need joint efforts,” the Ukrainian leader insisted.
He called on the Organization of American States to “work with us and all the free nations of the world to realize the Peace Formula.”
The Organization of American States (OAS) is an international organization of the Western Hemisphere, created on April 30, 1948 at the IX Inter-American Conference in Bogota (Colombia) based on the Pan-American Union, which has existed since 1890.
Today, the OAS unites 35 states.
It will be recalled that on June 21, at the G7 working session, Zelensky mentioned the importance of the peace formula proposed by Ukraine and called on world leaders to convene a summit dedicated to the initiative.
