In the city of Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region, a 43-year-old man opened fire in an apartment building. This was announced on Wednesday, June 21, by the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
It is known that a local resident started shooting in a state of intoxication. In search of company, he destroys the neighbors’ apartment. There he threatened physical violence against the hostess and insulted her.
After that, the assailant went to the entrance, where he fired several times from a pistol at the victim’s door.
“Fortunately, no one was injured in the shooting,” the prosecutor’s office said.
The culprit was arrested. The court chose him a measure of restraint in the form of detention. The man is suspected of hooliganism and violation of the inviolability of housing (part 4 of article 296 and part 1 of article 162 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). For this act, he faces up to seven years in prison.
It was not reported where the man obtained the weapon.
