The door to the shelters of four lyceums and one elementary school were equipped with new systems. In the nearest plans – 20 more shelters, then – the rest.
In Vinnytsia, they were the first in Ukraine to introduce a system for automatically opening doors in shelters. It is already working in five educational institutions of Vinnytsia, Sergey Morgunov, mayor of Vinnytsia, said on social networks.
“For some time we will evaluate the operation of this system, because there is no such experience in any city of Ukraine. Therefore, we must make our model. In the near future – 20 more, and then we intend to extend the training to it. at the entrances to all places for temporary stay during an air raid “, the message said.
How the system works today, June 21, was reviewed at Lyceum No. 18: locks open as soon as the Air Raid app reports a missile threat.
“It is also easy to get out of the shelter: just press the corresponding button. Similar locks are placed in lyceums No. 18, 26, 34 and 35, as well as in elementary school No. 25,” said the mayor.
Provision of shelters with new systems continues.
“The shelters must be available to the residents of the city. While we are working on automating the opening of the storage facilities, we again appeal to all balance holders with a request to perform their duties promptly responsible: keep shelters in proper condition and ensure that they are open during air raids. During martial law efforts must be united to improve the security of citizens. This is one of the most important tasks,” stressed Sergei Morgunov.
Recall that on June 1 in Kyiv, fragments of downed enemy missiles damaged a polyclinic and a residential building. Three died, including two children. They couldn’t enter the hideout because it was closed.
The head of the polyclinic, in whose building the shelter was closed, was placed under house arrest.
