The Ministry of Emergency Situations said there were reports of an explosion before the fire. This was reported on June 20 by the Russian propaganda agency RIA Novosti
TASS, citing emergency services, notes that four people died as a result of the explosion and fire. However, Telegram channel 112 already writes about five dead and 12 more injured.
Local media write that the fire occurred on the territory of the Tambov Powder Plant. Rescuers received information about the fire at 14.10. Four fire brigades are at the scene of the incident. The dead are reported.
The authorities of the Tambov region have already stated that the cause of the explosion at the gunpowder factory in Kotovsk was the human factor.
