The Armed Forces of Ukraine are advancing confidently and are “gnawing away” every meter of ground from the enemy, Anna Malyar said.
Ukrainian troops continue their offensive in several directions in the south of the country, which is going according to plan. This was announced by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar on the air of the telethon on Tuesday, June 20.
“In the south, the offensive continues in different directions. Everything is happening according to the plan set by the military. There are some advances in all directions where our military is moving. But the enemy will not give up easily in their positions, and therefore heavy fighting and very strong fighting continues,” he said.
Malyar remembered that the Russians were mining the fields. There is also evidence that in the Zaporozhye region, the enemy, without warning, mines even settlements where people live.
“We are gradually, in small steps, but very confidently moving forward. And you can even make an allegory that “we are gnawing every meter of land from the enemy,” said the deputy minister.
At the same time, the Russians designate the east as the main direction of their strike, and their main offensive continues there.
“It can be called an offensive, even a large-scale one, in terms of what is happening in the directions of Limansky and Kupyansky, and the enemy is actually pulling units of air assault troops there to effectively destroy our defenses. So far, the enemy has not done it yet,” Maliar assured and added, that the enemy is also making an offensive in the direction of Maryinsky and Avdeevsky, the Ukrainian troops are on the defensive.
We remind you that on the day of June 19, the Armed Forces of Ukraine killed more than a thousand Russians. The enemy also lost dozens of pieces of equipment, including 23 artillery systems.
