Russia should be more compact and take a smaller global position, Mikhail Podolyak said.
The actions of the current President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, hastened the demise of imperial Russia. It is a historical process that cannot be avoided. This opinion was expressed by the Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, published on Monday, June 19.
“When you are in such a bubble, when you do not understand what is happening in the world, who has what resources now, you automatically start the process of destroying the inappropriate logistics of your country – the statements made you on behalf of this country,” said Podolyak.
He made it clear that this is not a question of disintegration, but a question of Russia’s transformation. Russia should be more compact and occupy a smaller global position.
“Accordingly, a number of ethnic regions can turn off – this is something that was not done in 1991. There will be a country of a completely different level, it will no longer be in the G8, G20, it is likely not even in the UN Security Council, even despite the fact that it is a nuclear state. There will probably be some other mechanism,” predicted Podolyak.
As you know, on October 4, 2022, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree that makes it impossible to negotiate with Putin, but negotiations with Russia are possible.
Later, Zelensky made a statement that Putin was not enough. Because Ukraine cannot negotiate with the current Russian leadership.
