The Russians pay a premium – two times, three times, or even five times more for the same product, the adviser told the head of the OP.
Now it is very profitable to make money in Russia, because the aggressor country agrees to pay many times more for sanctioned goods. This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, published on Monday, June 19.
He was asked why the adoption of the 11th package of EU sanctions, which should be aimed at preventing a bypass supply to Russia, is so difficult.
“They (Western countries – ed.) understand that Ukraine will control, moderate the war. Then what will you think? You are not in danger. You can only think about making more money,” said Podolyak.
According to him, today Russians pay a premium – twice, three times, or even five times more for the same product.
“It’s just that it’s not customary to talk about it in the world – this is business. No problems, no morality, this business was 10 years and 100 years ago,” he added.
Podolyak stressed that “it is very profitable to make money in Russia today.” However, this does not mean that Ukraine at the state level is not working hard to implement these sanctions.
It will be recalled that the other day, President Volodymyr Zelensky imposed sanctions against people associated with Russia. This restriction is against 178 individuals, most of whom are citizens of the Russian Federation.
