Russian occupiers continue to stone the Donetsk region, including residential buildings and infrastructure facilities.
In the city of Chasov Yar, Donetsk region, near Bakhmut, about a thousand residents remain. Most of them are old people who don’t want to leave their homes. This was announced on Sunday, June 18, by the head of the city’s military administration, Sergei Chaus, writes Radio Liberty.
“Unfortunately, the number of people is not decreasing. Currently, the evacuation is very slow. About 80% of the rest are elderly people. It is very difficult to work with them in this direction – they do not want to leave their homes. So’ t evacuation continues, but it has slowed down at this point,” he said on the air of a national telethon.
According to him, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, about 13,000 people lived in the city, now there are about 950 people.
As a result of the shooting in the Sumy region on Sunday, two civilians were killed – a father and a son.
The Russian occupation “authority” complained that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had taken control of Pyatikhatki, Zaporozhye region.
