Europe is preparing for the fact that the war will continue for several more months, and maybe even longer.
The European Union is accelerating the supply of arms to Ukraine to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s counteroffensive against Russian troops, European Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton said, Reuters reports.
Commenting on the pledge to transfer one million rounds of ammunition to Ukraine over 12 months, the European Commissioner said the EU would step up its efforts to provide arms and ammunition.
“We will intensify our efforts to deliver weapons and ammunition – this is a high-intensity war in which they play a decisive role,” Breton said.
He also added that Europe is preparing for the fact that the war will last several months, and possibly longer.
Recall that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are proceeding with the first phase of their offensive operation, i.e. reconnaissance to look for weaknesses in the defensive positions of the Russian occupation forces.
