The self-government of the Latvian capital Riga has announced a competition for the organization of camps for children from Ukraine, reports Delfi.

As a result of the competition, funds will be allocated for the organization of summer and autumn camps for organizations, foundations, businesses and other interested service providers.

The purpose of organizing the camps is to support the socialization and psycho-emotional well-being of Ukrainian children and youth, as well as mastering the Latvian language and improving cooperation skills.

Camp organizers must submit proposals by June 26.

The conditions of purchase state that there must be at least 20 participants in the camp. Of these, 50% must be children of Ukrainian residents living in the territory of Riga Municipality, and 50% must be Latvian children.

Students in grades 1-12, not exceeding 18 years of age, can rest at the camps.

The work of the camps will last from July 24 to August 30 for the summer shift and from October 21 to 29 for the autumn shift.

It can be recalled that Latvia has banned the entry of ten citizens of the Russian Federation involved in the prosecution of Russian opposition leader and journalist Vladimir Kara-Murza.
