In the southern regions of Ukraine, as a result of the collapse of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station by the Russian aggressors, 41 settlements remain flooded. The State Emergency Service reported this on Sunday, June 18.
It is indicated that in the Kherson region on the Dnieper River in the alignment of the Kherson post, there is a further drop in the water level, which is 0.7 m.
Today six settlements in the territory controlled by Ukraine were flooded. There are 17 settlements in the territory temporarily occupied by the Russians.
2,783 people were evacuated, including 309 children, 80 people with limited mobility and 284 animals. 716 people were rescued, including 30 children and 40 people with limited mobility.
During the day, more than 24 thousand tons of water were pumped out from 82 houses and basements, since the beginning of work – 107 thousand tons of water from 413 houses and basements.
More than 401 tons of water and 36,000 597 kg of food and essential items were brought.
In the Nikolaev region, 18 settlements in the Bashtansky district were partially flooded. During the day, 426 cubic meters of water was poured from the territory of 21 households. Since the work began, 2,216 cubic meters of water have been pumped out of 130 households. 832 people were evacuated, including 165 children.
It will be remembered that yesterday the number of victims of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station explosion increased. Also, 31 people are considered missing.
In this regard, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the decision to pay financial aid to flood victims in Kherson and Nikolaev regions.
