The ATVs were purchased thanks to the UNITED24 “Let’s Help the Rescuers” fundraiser. Hundreds of thousands of people joined the gathering.
A presentation of four Ukrainian-made all-terrain vehicles Bogun-2, given to the State Emergency Service in the Kherson region to eliminate the consequences of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, took place in Kyiv. This was reported by Ukrinform.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov, the all-terrain vehicles were purchased thanks to the UNITED24 “Let’s Help Rescuers” fundraiser. Hundreds of thousands of people joined the fundraiser and collected more than 200 million hryvnias in one week. Part of this amount was used to purchase all-terrain vehicles. Also, as part of the collection for rescuers, equipment was purchased that was insufficient, in particular boats, motor pumps, lights, wetsuits, mobile water purification stations.
The all-terrain vehicle Bogun-2 is an aluminum machine, weighing 2400 kg with wheels 1 m wide. The transport design allows it to be used at temperatures from -40 to +40 degrees. The maximum speed of the all-terrain vehicle is 6 km / h. With a full tank, he can ride or swim for 14 hours. At the same time, four additional fuel tanks are installed on the wheels, so if the car is completely filled with fuel, it will last 64 hours of rescue missions.
According to the head of the after-sales service of the manufacturing company Bogun-2, Leonid Kharkovsky, since the beginning of the war, all-terrain vehicles have been used to evacuate people in Irpen and Bucha. The new model is equipped with everything needed to optimize the work of the State Emergency Service – a stretcher, loudspeaker, and walkie-talkie. The machine is fully Ukrainian assembly, so spare parts and services are available for the State Emergency Service at any time.
“The rubber on the tires is a secret development. But I can say that it is Ukrainian rubber. If there is a hole in the tire, thanks to the fact that the system works automatically and inflates the tires, you can also drive like that. . You can even block it with a piece of wood – an all-terrain vehicle will also go,” said Kharkivsky.
After the presentation, Bohuny-2 was sent to the Kherson region.
Recall that Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov tested the Ukrainian all-terrain vehicle Bohun.
