Stockholm will also send a mission of 250 sappers to Ukraine to expedite mine clearance.
The Swedish Emergency Situations Agency offered Ukraine 250 mine detectors to eliminate the consequences of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. This was announced on June 14 by the press service of the Swedish government.
After the Russians blew up the dam, the water washed away and carried away landmines and unexploded ordnance. The equipment that Ukraine will receive, intended for civilian demining, should help to secure areas affected by flooding.
The cost of mine detectors is 1.3 million euros. In the near future they should be brought to Ukraine.
Civil Defense Minister Carl-Oscar Bolin said Sweden will also send a mission of 250 sappers to Ukraine to speed up mine clearance.
Recall that as a result of the explosion of the Kafirs at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, a large number of mines were observed in the Dnieper River, which have been washed ashore. Six mines have been discovered on the coast of the Odessa region in a week.
