On Thursday, June 15, Brussels will host the 13th meeting of the Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format.
The priority issue at the meeting of allied countries in the Ramstein format is the strengthening of Ukraine’s air defense. It was announced on Wednesday, May 14, on the Pentagon website.
The meeting will focus on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense and other priority capabilities in the near term, as well as conducting exercises and support to strengthen Ukraine’s strength in the long term.
It should be noted that on the eve of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov and the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, had a telephone conversation. The heads of the departments discussed the situation at the front and exchanged views on the future of Ramstein.
At the next meeting in the Ramstein format, the parties will discuss the “aircraft coalition” in detail. We are talking about the training of pilots, technicians and engineers.
